The Camera System
The camera system in the Plaza consists of over thirty cameras in place throughout the property. There are cameras around all entrances and exits, elevators, recreation areas and the parking lot.

 

University Plaza IDs
Every resident is given a University Plaza identification card in order to have access to the elevators and the bottom stairwell doors. A card swipe system is integrated with the Plaza identification card to prevent unauthorized entry inside the building by non-residents. This card also operates as a meal card in Café 900.
All University Plaza residents must have their valid Plaza ID to enter Café 900.

 

 

Security Staff
During late night hours, guards are posted at each tower to verify that individuals coming in the building are residents, and/or guests of residents. Any guests that enter the building after hours must be checked in by a resident and are required to be accompanied by a resident while on the property. Other guards patrol the property on foot and enforce Plaza policy when needed. All staff on duty is accessible by radio. Guests must have a valid state ID or drivers license for admittance to the building.
