response from property -Paxton, Thank you for the sweet review. It makes us happy that you're happy here at UP. :) We hope you have a great weekend, and if there's ever anything you need from the front desk please let us know!
submitted by Austin B. - |Recommended: YesGood overall. Room was disgusting when moved in and I'm expected to pay — UP makes it very easy for you monthly by putting it all as one bill. Might be best place around for the price, though it seems expensive it's still cheaper and get more than the dorms and is at a great location. Room was disgusting when I got there. Like it was sad. 100 convinced my room was never cleaned. I deep cleaned the place when I left and it was so much cleaner than how it was given to me. Now they are asking me to pay for things that they should have record of like the condition of the walls. I really did enjoy living here, but first and last impressions moving in and out was not well received. Also their billing system is very dumb in my opinion You can pay for all year parking up front but it still acts as a monthly charge. Since I already paid it, it took out of my monthly rent and it all became very confusing on how much I actually owed and no one could explain it or understand it themselves well. There were a few times I was late on a monthly payment because I was short some 13 because of this confusion and had to pay late fees. They need to change it.
response from property -Austin, Thank you for your perspective & review. We are so happy you enjoyed living here, and wish you luck in all your future endeavors! To address your concerns, we apologize for any problems that you had with your room. We are always receptive of feedback during move-in, and if anything seemed off to you we would have loved to fix ASAP. Front desk is always happy to help, especially when it comes to the cleanliness of a room. As for the wall damages, we issue paperwork/online condition form to each person moving in to a new room. We advise this condition form is filled out within 24hrs of moving in, and this paperwork helps us determine charges upon your move-out day. We do not seek out hidden or surprise-like charges, which is why we issue that condition form for you to fill out. It helps us help you later on during move-out. For all year parking, we issue passes on a first come first serve basis. The first tier is you can pay $160 up front and not handle monthly charges. Once we run out of yearly passes, we issue our second tier monthly passes which total up to $13.36 a month for as many months as you choose to have the pass during your lease. We apologize for any miscommunication that may have happened, and I hope this clears up at least some of your concerns. Thank you again for choosing us, we enjoyed having you here. Have a wonderful rest of your week!

response from property -Regan, Thank you for taking the time to write your review. Our staff is happy you're happy, and we wanted you to know that you absolutely can call for maintenance over the weekends, after-hours, etc. To reach someone after business hours, please call our front desk number and wait for the voicemail. You'll be given a non-emergency number to call for any work orders requests. Please just call that line and we can have someone come out and help you! I hope this is helpful, and that you have a wonderful rest of your week.

submitted by Jannen H. - |Recommended: NoOnce you make things urgent it gets done — I had an electricity problem in my apartment. I think it should’ve been solved before I moved in. The walls seems like someone had painted over them before. The string for the blinds in the living room are missing and the string for the blind in the bedroom is broken. I believed that each apartment should’ve been inspected before moving someone in just in case problems like these. Finally once I told them that my lights wasn’t working they kept saying it’s an Comcast issue. Comcast Comcast doesn’t deal with lights that is an property issue and not Comcast. My internet wasn’t working and they didn’t have a Comcast rep out on move in day. I believe I just have an terrible apartment than everyone else
response from property -Jannen, We are really sorry that this was your first impression of us. Our community prides itself in helping residents out in a timely manner, as well as providing quality housing. To address your problems, if you ever have cosmetic damage to the apartment (such as the blinds) please call the front desk or make a work order in your resident portal. We will have one of our maintenance men come down and fix that for you ASAP. If you notice anything weird with the way your walls look (for example, what you described as painted over beforehand) please take a photo or include that in your move-in condition report which is located on your resident portal. We require that all damages/oddities that you find concerning are reported to us 24hrs within move-in. To address the comcast/lights, we typically have a representative from Comcast come down and help everyone with their internet issues on move-in day. Due to the pandemic, they were unable to be there this year. We did our best to provide numbers/help from our own front desk, and hopefully next year when move-in comes around we will be able to have a rep. It seems maybe you had a miscommunication regarding the lights/comcast issue, and we apologize for all the trouble you had regarding that situation. Please don't hesitate to call the front desk if you need anything, we are happy to help! Have a wonderful rest of your week! - UP

submitted by Amanda S. - |Recommended: YesUP 2020 — UP is a fantastic apartment community to live in. There are many amenities and opportunities to have a sense of community. Minus the occasional noisy neighbor college life there is nothing I would change. This is the start of my fourth year living here and I love it. I'll be sad to leave my home when I graduate this Fall.
response from property -Amanda, We appreciate the review, and your ongoing residence here at UP! We hope you continue to have a wonderful year, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to ensure you're happiness here. :) - UP
