On move in day the workers in the leasing office were very friendly and helpful. — I would tell them this a great apartment to live in. It's spacious and homelike. They have a fitness center and even pool inside the building, so you don't have to travel elsewhere.

The rent does seem a little high, but in DeKalb you get what you pay for and I'd rather pay more to be in a safe environment. It's quiet, nice amenities and the employees are very friendly. I do however wish the building was cleaner. There is litter on the grounds and some people do not pick up after their dogs and the staff needs to do a better job of enforcing regulations. UP does have its faults, but I would 100 recommended a friend to live here. The pros outweigh the cons.

submitted by Claire O. - |Recommended: YesI love the environment, price, and people — I love living at UP because the buildings are all well kept and the amenities are great. If anything, the only complaints I have are that the walls are somewhat thin, so loud neighbors can be disturbing on occasion. The AC unit in my apartment has also had multiple issues, but the staff was nice and efficient at fixing the problem. Other than that, I love the layout, price, people and environment. It is definitely one of the better places to live around campus.

We also have a courtesy staff member on-call to handle things like excessive noise complaints, lock-outs, and maintenance emergencies. submitted by Rachel Z. - |Recommended: YesI really like living — Its close to campus. there is plenty of parking available. The apartments are extremely affordable and very nice. The only thing I would change are the hallways are dark and some of the paint colors are weird. But overall great and friendly staff and just an overall excellent place to live.
