The apartments are nice and there are plenty of really nice perks of living in this building. The apartment was very clean when I arrived and had minimal issues to address with maintenance.

submitted by Ryan M. - |Recommended: YesWorth the Cost For the Most Part — It's definitely the preferable place to stay while attending NIU. It's close, clean, and modern. My only qualms would be most, if not all, units have no bath tub and that the heating air units are loud and rather inefficient with the AC having a peculiar scent. Also, bathrooms do not have active fans for steam and smell, only a passive vent for that stuff.

Overall I would recommend University plaza over 95 of other living options in dekalb. It's safe, affordable, and very welcoming. The apartment complex is aimed at giving a fun experience for college students. They provide many activities and amenities that make you feel at home.
